Imitating Strangers

There are many myths about what factors stir up attraction and cause us to start a relationship with someone. Many times, our romantic side leads us to believe that coming across that special someone was a conspiracy of fate or because of a magical power of attraction. However, there are many who believe that the factors influencing our partner choice are far less romantic and passionate than we think.
A U.S. study, for example, has reached a very interesting, and in turn, sad hypotheses about what really interest us when we meet someone. The answer is simple: what other people think. And this doesn’t mean the approval of your partner by your family, friends and acquaintances. No. What scientists found is that unknown people, people who probably don’t have any relevance in your life- influenced your decisions about with whom you want to start a romantic relationship, or even share your life!
Scientists found that men and woman studied were more likely to want to couple with a mate who was seen as attractive by others, which showed that people copy the mate choice of others. This phenomenon has been studied extensively in the animal world, especially in fish and birds, and now in humans, dismantles the legend that are made for each other, looking for that special someone. Nope, we’re all looking for the same special someone: the one who is popular with a wide variety of people. The reality is quite grim – even satirical! In the experiment, the scientists observed and deciphered the behaviour of 40 men and 40 women in a speed dating situation. The results showed that men felt more interest in a girl if another man in the group, who was just as handsome or even more attractive than themselves, had shown his attraction to her.
Perhaps this explains why people with a partner are paradoxically so successful with people of the opposite sex: they have gone through the review and “validation” that having a partner provides. However, what is clear is that human behaviour is, in essence, quite gloomy. We encourage you to forget this brutal reality and escape to Marrakech, one of the most poetic and romantic cities in the world where you will surely encounter exciting and fun adventures (more if you go together with a beautiful partner.) It’s laborious to search out educated individuals on this topic, however you sound like you know what you’re talking about! Thanks
